Introduction of Vedic Astrology and its impact
This Shastra or science is basically the study of Sun, Moon, planets and constellations, their positions at the time of birth of an individual, their relative positions with respect to some fixed portion in the sky pertaining Lagna of individual, the events such as rotations,speed and revolutions of these heavenly bodies with high accuracy. These studies are made to know the overall result of these heavenly bodies on different aspects and events on a particular individual.
In Vedic astrology, to predict someone’s future with accuracy in different spheres of his/her life, Indian Maharishis(sages) divided the sky into 12 equal parts each having a span of 30 degrees arc called Bhavas(Houses) and then these supreme personalities placed these Bhavas in Kundli or Horoscope which is a symbolic representation of these 12 Bhavas in the form of a square with different planets, Sun along with Rahu, Ketu placed in these 12 partitions according to their position in the sky at the time of birth. Each Bhava(house) of the horoscope represent different domains of human life such as first bhava(house) called lagna represent the character of the individual itself, second bhava represents the money, ninth represents fate, tenth represents career field, seventh represents life or businesss partner, eleventh the source of income, etc.

The kitab written in Hindi and later, in the Urdu script too in 20th century. Lal kitab is a set of five Hindu palmistry and astrology books.
